Mary Allison’s practice includes representing and counseling clients in matters of employment, student discipline, contracts, board governance, special education, ethics laws, Freedom of Information Act compliance, Office of Civil Rights complaints, and non-profit and 501(c)(3) formation and compliance.

She has also represented South Carolina employers in matters before the South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the South Carolina Human Affairs Commission, and in South Carolina’s state and federal courts.

A native of Spartanburg, S.C., she attended Clemson University, where she majored in political science with a legal studies minor. She attended the University of South Carolina School of Law and earned her Juris Doctorate in 2013. While in law school, Mary Allison was a law clerk for the Senate Judiciary Committee and served as a Peer Mentor and a Law School Ambassador. Immediately following graduation, she began practicing in all areas of education law.

She and her husband, Spencer, have four young children. She comes from a family of educators, including her mother, a retired high school math teacher. Mary Allison enjoys spending time with her family and friends and playing with her two rescue dogs.
